How to play
- Drive with the stick and tap the battlefield to aim and fire. The hull and the turret turn separately.
- Shells bounce off grey walls - including your own, so watch where they come back.
- A bomb explodes 5 seconds after you plant it. Steel walls can only be destroyed by a bomb.
- You carry up to 4 shells and 2 bombs. A shell frees its slot when it disappears.
- The stick can be swapped to either side in Settings, and the tutorial can be replayed at any time.
Frequently asked questions
The local duel will not connect
- Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. A device on cellular only cannot join.
- Turn on Settings → PocketTank → Local Network. iOS asks for this the first time; if it is off, the other device is never found.
- Guest Wi-Fi in hotels and shops often blocks device-to-device traffic. Try a home network instead.
- If the room still does not appear, quit both apps and open them again.
- "Update both apps" means the two devices run different versions. Update from the App Store.
My duel dropped mid-match
A dropped connection, an incoming call or backgrounding the app resumes the same match within 30 seconds with the score intact. After that you return to the lobby.
The QR code will not scan
Scan it with the iPhone Camera app - the game has no camera feature of its own. Tap the banner it shows and PocketTank opens and joins. If that fails, type the 4-digit room number instead.
Can I move my progress to another device?
No. Records are stored only on the device, and deleting the app deletes them.
Can I remove the ads?
Not in 1.0.0. Ads never appear during a duel.
How do I change ad tracking?
The Settings screen in the game shows the current state. If you have already answered the system prompt, change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Saying no changes neither the number of ads nor the game.
